The short-lived A-J Records only released two singles between 1987 and 1988. Their sophomore release was Deception’s Prisoner Of Your Love which was produced by Al Pizarro and Anthony White, who were also responsible for two of the four remixes.
With two remixes still needed, the pair dug deep into their contact books and brought onboard Rafael J. Vazquez and Matt Warren. His contribution is Prisoner Of Your Love (Chicago House Mix) which featured on the single released later in 1988.
When Prisoner Of Your Love was released in 1988, it was A-J Records swan-song and a track that hinted that change was on the horizon. There were elements of garage house within Deception’s Prisoner Of Your Love which is an underrated Chicago House track.
